So this is my first time attending Sarbay Festival in Saranggani. I was so curious about the festival since it was really the talk of the town in Social Networks. We went on the final day and that was Saturday, apparently the busiest day of the festival.
We're a group of 12 and brought two SUV's with us. From Davao City going to General Santos City took us 3 hours with less traffic during the trip and another hour from Gensan to Saranggani. As expected, the place is already jam-packed with people and cars lining up looking for a place to park.
We are lucky enough to find a spot closer to the area. It was not a very nice experience for me since it was raining almost the whole time I was there. We managed to find a place where we can have our tents built but still later on decided to sleep inside the car due to drunk people. Security is not a question since there's a lot of police patrolling around the area.
The best part is getting drunk and get to dance and party all night! Well of course I am not a heavy drinker, just consumed one bottle of San Mig light the whole night. I bet my friends and cousins enjoyed SARBAY Fest so much. The party ended with a lot of fireworks! Yes, for about 15 minutes of fireworks display, we didn't mind the rain at all! Sarbay pa more as they say!!! I hope to be back and get to enjoy more of Sarbay Festival next year still with the same group!
