Since birth, I really have no personal experience with Kadayawan sa Dabaw though I live just an hour away from the city. I haven't seen the Hudyakan sa Kadayawan in person, none of the activities during the festival I ever attended. This year will be the first time that I am going to the event.
I watch the parade and other activities only on television, all I know was it's colorful and fun. I was not allowed to go due to security issues, but Davao has proven for years that there's nothing to worry about. Thus, I am coming! I married young so and was always left with the kids, but now that they are old enough, I am now free to ramp and enjoy the festivities. Plus the fact that my job as a general virtual assistant gave me the luxury to choose the time I want to do my job.
Since I am so excited, I want to share with you the schedule for the 30th Kadayawan Sa Dabaw. Below is the photo I got from the official Facebook page of Davao City Tourism. Enjoy and hope to see you there!

I just wanna be in "Villa Amparo Garden Beach Resort", located in Samal Island. I've been planning since I saw photos from my Facebook friends but haven't really had the chance to go here. I did a lot of research about the resort and was really fascinated by the sceneries and amenities. It's a little bit expensive, but it's worth the price. I will blog more about this resort soon!
So this is my second time in Isla Reta Beach Resort (read my previous post here) located in one of the islands of Samal Island a year and four months after my very first visit. The resort is still the same, beautiful white sand beach, very clean, I can't see any major additional improvements aside from the canteen and shower areas. They have built a shower area outside the comfort room both for male and female.
This trip was really unexpected as it was decided just that day. Our original plan was Maxima Aqua fun though I've been there once already. The 9 am boat to Isla Reta just departed when we came so we have to take the 12:30 pm boat. Thinking it would be a waste of time we decided to take the other way going to the resort. We went to Sasa wharf and rode the barge (10pesos fare), from there a motorcycle (habal2x cost 100 pesos) took us to Kaputian and a small banca (I think fare was 20 Pesos) was waiting for us to get us to the Island. The fare roughly cost 260pesos round trip. The last trip going back to Kaputian is 5 PM so we didn't waste time.
We had an awesome day as the sun cooperated much with us, we took a lot of selfies, groufies, and lots of swimming and laughing. It was truly memorable since it was the last bonding we'll be having with our friend Hannah who's going to Manila a week after. Isla Reta Beach Resort is really worth going, surely you will not regret your stay there!
We've been invited by a close friend from Kabacan to her birthday celebration in Lake Agco, it was just a family get together with some of her closest friends and I strongly believe that I am one of them haha. We woke up early around 4am and started our journey to one of the best nature has to offer!
Located at Barangay Ilomavis, Kidapawan City, Lake Agco is at the foot of Philippine's highest mountain Mt. Apo and is approximately 2.5 hours away from Davao City and about 45 minutes from Kidapawan City via multicab. The road is very stiff and honestly got a little scared that the engine will shut off, unluckily breaks won't work and we'll all go rolling down hahaha! What a creepy imagination but I did pray a lot lol. Like most of my previous travels, I did enjoy the sceneries along the way!
Arriving at Lake Agco, stalls of souvenirs parade outside the resorts. Mahomanoy Mountain Resort has hot and cold swimming pools both for adults and children. We enjoyed our jacuzzi experience at Lake Agco Jacuzzi Antapan Mountain Resort and climbed up and down going to the small falls which is the most tiring part of the adventure. We also witnessed and smelled the sulfur coming out of Lake Agco, there are tiny geysers and springs around the lake too. You can grab some mud and put in your face and body, they say it's good for your skin. It was such a nice experience with mother nature, what an adventure!
